All new EA FC 25 Icons & Heroes

EA Sports has finally unveiled all the new EA FC 25 Icons and Heroes in the game. Most notably, we see the addition of Gareth Bale and Gianluigi Buffon. But what else is new, and what can we expect from the new EA FC 25 Heroes and Icons?

The most notable player in this list is most likely Buffon. Considered one of the best goalkeepers to have ever played, Buffon is known for his incredibly long career. He recently retired at the age of 45 with over 1100 appearances in professional football. The Italian played the longest for Juventus and 176 times for the Italian national team. A player of this level deserves an icon.

The second most notable Icon is none other than Gareth Bale. The Welsh player is one of the best wingers of the past generation, scoring 81 goals in 176 matches for Real Madrid. Bale retired last year, following the 2022 World Cup.

Lotta Schelin is the most notable on the Women's side of the Icons. She has won three Champions League titles with Olympique Lyonnais and eight league titles. What interests us regarding EA FC 25 is her Finesse shot PlayStyle+, one of the strongest playstyles in EA FC 24.

Depending on her weak foot and skill stars, we also think Julie Foudy might be a reasonable addition to any team. Compared to Bellingham in EA FC 24 (Gold), she looks to be a decent player in any starting team. That highly depends on the price, which will most likely be too expensive.

It's hard to judge these cards at face value because other than their primary stat, we have no clue what the rest of their stats are or if they have a PlayStyle+. So, we will mostly talk about the individual players here. Our most notable players are Guti, Maicon, Jaap Stam and Eden Hazard. Maicon is known as one of the best right-backs of his generation, having played for major teams such as Inter Milan and Roma. He also made 76 appearances for the Brazilian National team.

Jaap Stam is considered one of the best centre-backs to have ever lived. He won the treble with Manchester United in 1999 (Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League). He made over 60 appearances for the Dutch national team in his career. Depending on the rest of the stats and his pace, we feel he might be an excellent addition to any EA FC 25 team.

Guti is most likely one of the most underrated Spanish players. Considered an absolute legend in Madrid, having played almost 400(!) matches for the Spanish club. Guti was known for his exceptional ability as a playmaker in the midfield.

EA Sports FC 25 is the newest game from developer EA, and the first one bearing the new name after EA and FIFA could not come to an agreement.
