What is EA Sports FC?

Which EA FC 25 game modes will return?

EA Sports has confirmed the popular game modes EA FC 25 Ultimate Team, EA FC 25 Career Mode, and EA FC 25 Pro Clubs for the EA Sports FC franchise. In recent years, these modes have become favorites among many FIFA fans.

VOLTA Football, the street football mode that debuted in FIFA 20, will also be included in the new EA Sports FC. In VOLTA Football, players can create their own characters and have them play in various street football leagues around the world

New in EA FC 25: Rush Game mode

In addition to retaining popular game modes, EA Sports has also promised to bring new features and improvements to the EA Sports FC 25. One of those is EA FC 25 Rush Mode, a new submode that is available in Clubs, Ultimate Team, Career Mode and Kick-Off. Rush allows you to play 5-on-5 on a smaller pitch. Each team has one goalkeeper and four field players. The size of the goal remains the same. The field is separated in three zones: two attacking sides and one neutral middle zone. This game mode allows for a more action packed game.

The rules are slightly different in this game as well. A heavy foul will result in a blue card, which means the offender has to leave the game for one minute. Offside is only possible in the attacking sides, so not in the neutral zone. Penalties aren't a thing in Rush, but instead are replaced by 1-on-1 shootout starting in the neutral zone.

EA FC 25 Player Roles

Unlike PlayStyle+'s, the new Player Roles in EA FC 25 dictate what a player must do when they are not in possession of the ball. Each player has at least one Role+, with some players having a Role++. This means they are World Class at that specific role. Last but not least, there is the Out of Position Role. Meaning a player is doing something he is not meant to be doing, or good at.

Player Roles will introduce another tactical layer within EA FC 25 that allows gamers to dive deeper into the game than ever before. It is yet another way for EA Sports to make the game more realistic.

EA FC 25 Release date

EA Sports FC 25 will be released on Friday 27 September 2024 for every platform. If you buy the Ultimate Edition, you will get 7 days of early access. This means you can play the new game on Friday 20 September 2024.
